Jane Smith

Bought Living Social Coupon for Sight Test and $200 credit towards sunglasses. This optometrist has no people skills. He used big scientific words and talked really fast. I felt like he was trying to sound smart and that he tried to up sell me to a more involved exam and a contact lens exam. Once I told him I was only going to do the regular sight test, he no longer cared to know about my eye health risk factors or family history. He really intimidated me and I'm a health professional who actually understood the big words he was using. He didn't ask me what my profession was but if this is how he talks to regular people, I would feel even more intimidated and pressured. He was quite condescending during the exam and seemed impatient. Instead of writing out the prescription at the time of the exam he got his front shop staff to do it so he could see the next patient. This made me wait an extra hour to get my prescription. He should deal with one customer at a time. Speaking of which, he kept interrupting our appointment by answering phone calls instead of focussing on me. I also found the shop sketchy. There are no price tags on any of the frames and the staff lady would randomly quote prices on frames. I found it disturbing that they would charge $100 for kids sunglasses that are worth $10. Also, they kept saying that kids eye exams are free. That's a lie. MSP covers children's exams. I have never had such a horrible eye exam experience in the 30 years that I've been wearing glasses nor felt so uncomfortable with a health professional. I would never go here again and forewarn others to stay away and not to let him bully you into spending more money. There are so many more professional and patient friendly optometrists you could see. I have never met anyone like this before and chose not to use my $200 credit as I just couldn't wait to get out of there.
